Freebies are powered by the amount of "thank yous" per snags ratio ...and comments.
So as of today the freebies will stay up on the blog for 5 days instead of 7.
I don't put a ton of ads on this site.......but I do enjoy the extra cash from the income of the blog. So I really don't need the freebies to be every day or up for a long period. You have the power on that one.
All I'm going to say.
Paulette
Paulette - I know it must be discouraging when you share all your time and talent and get little response! I, personally, have donated to you and try to leave a comment if I download a freebie. But, sometimes I get in a hurry and forget - thanks for reminding me to be more appreciative!
ReplyDeleteJackie
I understand and appreciate all you do for us. I'm sorry I don't comment on each freebie. Thank you for everything you do!
ReplyDeleteSharon
I am also guilty of often being in a big hurry and not taking that extra moment to thank you for your time and awesome freebies. As Kraftychick said, thank you for the reminder to be more appreciative. I forget you cannot read my mind as I'm saying, Oh, that's cool, and clicking to download. You're awesome. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteCompletely understand.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that I am not expressing my appreciation more often. I am one of the guilty ones - I know I don't say thank you for each one. I will try to do better! I definitely do appreciate the freebies you provide!
ReplyDeletePaulette ( am sorry to hear that the ratio has dropped so low - I comment when I snag a freebie, and so appreciate what you do.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Maxine
Gotcha! Totally get where you are coming from.
ReplyDeleteDon't blame you in the slightest, I would feel a bit miffed if too if my work was taken for granted.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paulette, for all of your wonderful freebie word art, and the work you do to bring us all antique and vintage images. We all must remember that you find the time to create these and are so very generoous to share so many of them free of charge. Thanks again Megan in Australia
ReplyDeletesorry Paulette - recently I've been snagging without thanking. In my mind, I had an excuse, but in the cold light of day, I realize it was wrong. I will do better!
ReplyDeleteWe're probably all a bit guilty of not saying "thank you" enough to a number of designers/artists. I agree with "ArtInMyHeartToo" ... I'm sure you can't hear me say "Wow! Just what I needed." I need to remember to say it in print more often. And, BTW, many other "freebies" are only up for 24 hours, so you are being MORE than generous to us. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all you give us Paullette I try to say thanks for the freebies that I get but miss a few Hugs Nellie
ReplyDeleteI am guilty as well. I have been travelling and have not downloaded in a while so here us a thank you without a download
ReplyDeleteLove all you do and I do appreciate the work you share
ReplyDeleteI comment on the ones I get. Some I have even comment twice on. I do appreciate your free sentiments and especially the images and papers.
ReplyDeleteI understand how you feel about the comments. Yet I understand sometimes life is so crazy for people that they forget to comment. I don't think it is because they just don't care. It is because they are over burdened. Yet Appreciation only takes a Thank You. Edwina Brown
Thank you for all your freebies. I really appreciate all you do for us.
ReplyDeleteTotally understand. I use to give freebie svgs. I enjoyed making and sharing. But it is a little sad to see on a given day that my freebie was downloaded almost 300 times and yet I may be lucky to have 4-5 thank you comments. You do a wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteEnough said...thanks for all you do, and for Free for us.
ReplyDeleteI guess I never realized that the comments were so important to the bloggers. I figured the bloggers could tell how much their work was liked by the number of downloads. I'm not a "social" person when it comes to the Internet and I don't participate in discussions or write comments but I will make sure to keep others feelings in mind in the future. We all think differently.
ReplyDeleteJen....a lot of the creators have stopped giving away freebies due to lack of commenting. Just trying to keep freebies alive.
ReplyDeletePaulette
I left a little token of my gratitude in the tip jar. Thank you for all you do for us.
ReplyDeleteCome on everyone
ReplyDeleteSay thank you.
Its such a little thing to do for receiving a free goodie,
Love from Christine in Italy xx
Guilty!!! So sorry. Your so kind and generous. Thank you for sharing your talent.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Char
I so appreciate all you do for us Paulette, and understand how you feel when people fail to even take the time to say thank you.I always comment on the freebies I download,as I think you're so generous to share with us!
ReplyDeleteAnn,x
Dear Paulette, I am so sorry for taking your freebies for granted at times. I apologize from the bottom of my heart. It is just good common sense to say, Thank you! We teach our little ones as soon as they can talk then at times we ourselves forget to say it. I am going to try and be more aware of what I am doing online and thanking all of you that so freely share your love and talents with us.

I can only imagine how discouraging it is when you give such a great talent of yourself and people just don't show their appreciation and love - all it takes is a moment to say thanks where as your talent takes such time and love!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate and love all that you do for us!
With much love, hugs, and friendship
I too am guilty of not saying thank you. I usually go through a lot of the sites about midnight and I get up @ 4-4:30 a.m. to go to work. So I am sorry and I do appreciate all the work you put into your site. The rush I am in is not an excuse and I will try to do better.
ReplyDeleteI visit this blog every day and sometimes I snag a freebie and sometimes not but I do appreciate all of them and what you do.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I will try harder to comment on every single one. Thanks for your generosity and sharing your talent.
There have been few times when I haven't expressed my gratefulness. There have been times (this morning) that clicking on "comments", it doesn't connect. Today I had trouble with the "sister sentiment' and "Advisory". I switched back and forth between two browsers before one of them finally connected so I could add my comment. (I tried each one at least five times.) Had I not read "Advisory", I would't have tried two browsers or attempts to connect. The "whole class" will be disappointed because of a few bad apples. All this said, I understand.
ReplyDeleteWell we all make speeches went confronted. Love what u do and can only give my thanks when I take. So I tottaly understand your putting in less work. As 4 me BIG HUGS for all you give. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnonymous....sorry that you had trouble trying to leave a comment.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately there are not just a "few bad apples" When you have hundreds/thousands of downloads and you see 15-20 comments or less....the remainder are not a few.
Paulette
I too am guilty of not saying thank you for your freebies each time I download. I do appreciate them as well as your time and talent. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Good for you, Paulette. It means I'll be missing some of your creations, but that's the way things go. I understand your need to limit and support you in your decision. Thanks for all you do for us.
