It makes you feel better too......
I received a sample of a new shampoo in the mail the other day.....last night when I was taking my shower, I decided to try it.....oh my goodness.....the smell was wonderful and there was something in that smell that just brought back a flood of good memories from a particular person and place when I was in college.
Wow....strong and wonderful memories......and every time I took another whiff of the shampoo, I would be right back in that time and place.
So something as simple as my shampoo made me smile.
Ever had that experience? What one thought can always make you smile?

Enjoy~!

ReplyDeleteevery now and again for no reason what so ever I get the smell of warm sandwiches - our school bags were all in this one area and Australia being warm by lunch time you could smell the different sandwiches just by walking through. Brings back a lot of memories even though there is no reason for me to smell that smell anymore.

Thank you so much for the wonderful sentiment!! I know for me that certain comfort foods bring me back to when my grandparents were alive -brings the memories right back as if they were never gone.
ReplyDeleteGreat sentiment! They say that the sense of smell is def. tied to memory, for me it's Teaberry Gum. Reminds me of my Grandma every time.

ReplyDeleteHey, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who has "smell" memories! :o) The frustrating thing for me is that I can't always remember what was at the heart of the original memory--but the warm fuzzy of the memory remains. Thanks for the great sentiment, Paulette! Oh, & thinking of my hubby's hugs always brings a smile to my face.
