Saturday's Saying...........

"Tranquility"

Some of you that have been around for a very long time, know that I also have a full time job.  I work with children.  A lot of these children come from very disturbing situations.  My heart is broken at least a couple times a day.  But I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
And at the end of the day.....I just need to shut down and shut out.  I don't want to have the phone ring or even hear another's voice.  I need to be "free from disturbances".  My mind needs to rewind and reset.  And I usually do this by maintaining perfect silence, and art.
Everyone is hit every day by lots of "disturbances".  We all need to rewind and reset.  It took me a long time to accept that...that I couldn't just keep going and going and going.  I needed to just STOP.  Be Still. and Reset.  Breathe deep and clear your mind.  Interestingly enough, if I am creating, I am not thinking about anything but the creation.

Try it....if even for a half hour.  Take time to be free from "disturbances" and Reset.

  5. Bless you for working with and helping these children. I can imagine it is a very draining and demanding job, and everyone who works with children who are disadvantaged in some way deserves a special place in our Lord's kingdom. You have my sincere admiration.

  13. Thank you for this word art, Paulette, and for sharing your thoughts behind it. You are a marvel for all you do, I'm glad that your art brings you some peace. Me, I tend to stress too much about how my card will look at the end rather than just going with the flow. :)
