Today is......... Free Printable...

"Sewing Machine Day"
Little known TLC fact........
I used to sew a lot of Bri's little outfits.  I also at one time during my crafting career designed patterns for vintage country type fabric animals and dolls.

  5. I used to sew my daughter's clothes when she was little as she has auburn hair - and baby clothes come in pastels which so does not work with auburn hair! Once she got older and there was a better choice in clothes, I stopped sewing for her. Now she is doing a degree in Costuming - so the sewing has gone full circle. I just know I'm going to use this image for something for her. Particularly as I had a treadle sewing machine just like this one when I was her age. Sadly my mum sold it - if nothing else it was good exercise using the treadle!
Thanks so much for the image and bringing back some great memories.

  16. I see I am not the only one - I don't sew, but my sister does, especially quilts - she has 3 modern machines, but this looks a lot like the one my mother had when we were young. Here is my sister's card for the next birthday!! THANK YOU so much.

  17. This is what GG sewed on. One day she was going a good clip and went right through the middle of her thumbnail 😮 she stopped, removed the needle from the machine, got a pair of pliers and pulled it out wrapped it up and went back to sewing. She taught me a lot! Sewing and crafting! Thank you Paulette for this beautiful image that makes me think of her.

  18. Thank you for the image. It is beautiful! My mom made almost all my clothes until I was 15 years old. I miss her sewing for me. Store bought was not as pretty or as well made. Edwina Brown
