ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this great word art, Paulette! I don't have any close family members serving in the military at present, but hubby & his older brothers & his dad are/were all veterans. I know I have extended family members who've served recently, too. Thank God for all those American men & women who've served in our military, helping to keep our country the land of the free and the home of the brave!

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, thank you. My son was in Afghanistan after 911 and it was a very hard time for me. He is home now for good. My thoughts and prayers are always with the service men and women and their families. May God bring them home safe.
ReplyDeleteMy OH great granddad was in the 1st WW and he recived the Victorian cross, luckily at the moment I don't know anyone who's fighting at the mo, but always sad when I hear someone lost his/her life in duty and I can just hope our son and daughter don't want to be a solder

ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate memorial day in the UK but we do have remembrance day in November for the same reasons.
ReplyDeleteHowever, as our Grandad has just died today Memorial day will now have a special significance to us and he did serve in WW2 in Egypt. Today is a sad day :( but we are happy he is no longer in pain.
