When my hubby and I got married we each had 1 child. My hubby's daughter told me "You are NOT my mom!" I told her I was her step mom whether she liked it or not. My son was 2 years younger than she was, they had been fighting. After a swat on the rear end she told me "You don't spank very hard, my dad (her step dad) really spanks hard!" A little bit later she and my son came out with a book and she said "Mom would you read to us?" LOL they were nice to each other after that. Thanks for the jog of the old memories. XO Nana
