ReplyDeleteMy grandmother, who died when i was 4 in 1947, gave a really racy valentine to my grandfather a few years before her death! It is hilarious! i just love it that they were so much in love for the 54 years they were married. She was such a marvelous woman that i have many memories of her even though i was so young when she died! But that card is really a treasure and i'm so glad it was preserved! He wrote her the most amazing letter the year after she died - and it means so much to me to be able to read that love letter.
