Follow Up to Nay Sayer Post....

I have to tell you, my followers that are appreciative and kind, are the best~!

Thank you to all of you that sent me words of encouragement and left comments....
Please carry this forward day to day though, and carry it to others who share freely also.

Based on lots of great input today, I am considering opening another "member only" blog to share the bulk of the freebies on.....maybe just leave this one open to archive the past freebies, and to maybe just have a freebie a week on here...

Paulette

  1. Just got my little 1300 hooter...he's so cute. Thanks Paulette. I think the cloud at toward the top of the digi could be used as a caption balloon. Thanks again.

  2. I'm so sorry Paulette! There is nothing worse than feeling like all of your hard work is not appreciated! I always say thank you when I download your fabulous freebies! Just know that the soldiers who get the cards that I use your freebies on to send home to their families greatly appreciate them too!! Hugs =)

  4. Please let me tell you how much I appreciate all that you do and all that you give. I was a shadow person once, thinking that my little comment would not make a difference, but now I know better. I try to always comment on everything I take. Some of us rely on the freebies, as purchasing is not always possible. Thanks again for your very giving nature...Dee

  9. I hope this helps people realize how it feels when they take and dash, like your work is not worthy of a thank you, especially with how long it takes for an image. I wish you the best of luck in your decision and thank you again for the wonderful sentiments and images :)

  12. Are you sure you are not my mother reincarnated?? She used to be so nice but all the same, letting me know that she felt unappreciated! I am kidding but I do understand your feelings about the "snatch and runs". And I have to be totally honest and let you know that I get busy, try to run through my emails and I am guilty of not thanking you like I should! I apologize profusely! It is ungrateful and tacky! I can certainly understand if you choose to stop the freebies or put them on another blog for those readers that have better manners than I seem to be displaying! I just joined your group under the Google site even though I get your blog sent to my email. Again, I am happy that you posted the note about people not thanking you since all of us get in a hurry and have a tendency to be greedy! I do appreciate all the goodies you put on here and I love getting and using them. They are great and you are a very talented blogger! May this serve at a wakeup to all your readers not to take you and your talent for granted!!! Come on ladies, take a moment to say THANK YOU.

  13. Thank you Paulette for all you do. I do appreciate you. After reading this post and the last just now I want to say that I am sorry for any time that I have stopped by and snagged without a bit of a thank you. I do often leave a comment if I download something. I hardly ever leave a comment on a freebie that I do not take. But I also try to leave a comment on other posts like your creation posts and such. I appreciate you, I like your art, I enjoy the little stories you tell, I admire you for caring so much about your daughter and how that shines through here on your blog, and I appreciate all the time and effort you put into what you do! You are wonderful!

  14. Many days, checking your blog is the highlight of my day. I love the sentiments and stamps, but I also get alot of inspiration from you and those that design the wonderful cards that you post.
    Thanks for all your generosity.

  15. I am so sorry that you feel unappreciated. I HAVE noticed the number of downloads (when they are visible) vs. the number of comments, and I agree...it would be somewhat discouraging. I understand where you are coming from. I don't follow any blogs, I just visit...I've never taken the time to even figure out if I CAN follow a blog without having my own! But I do try to say thank you for freebies, not just to you, but to anyone who allows for anonymous comments. Paulette, whatever you decide to do, please know that there are many people who do appreciate the freebies.

  21. While I was going through chemo and radiation, daily visits to your blog were a real highlight for me. I was always thrilled with all the yummy goodies you shared with us and so whatever you decide to do, I hope I can be part of it. Thank you Paulette.

  25. I love your blog and your products and do truly appreciate them and use them a lot. I'm so sad to admit that I don't comment nearly as much as I should, but I will make a point of doing better in the future. (Some of us are just quieter than others). Hope your day/week gets better.

  26. Unfortunately, I'm often a snagger, as I'm grabbing a few minutes on the puter while in the family room where there's so much going on that it's hard to frame a typed thank you. Also, I'm usually running behind, playing catch up and all the things I'd say have been said so many times before. Or, I'll put one comment when I've taken more than one freebie. Some commenters word their comments so well and can already visualize using the digi on a card - in contrast, I have to stew on things for a while before figuring out how to use them. So, I often think, with all these great comments, my simple little thank you sounds so dumb. But, I'm learning that you'd prefer a thanks every time over a nameless snatch. I do appreciate all the work that goes into thinking up the word art and cleaning up the digis for us - and apologize profusely for being one of the many who cause you pain and heartache! And I'll follow with whatever you choose to do -- 98% of my creations are for charity, so I try to stick to freebies, but your generosity should not go unrewarded.

  28. I've been away for a week, so I missed the opportunity to receive your 1300 blogger freebie. I've been enjoying your freebies, and occasionally drop in a comment saying thank you. I should be doing this everytime to let you know that all your hard work is very much appreciated. Your blog is always active with new ideas and new designs. I have your blog set up as a shortcut because I'm always checking it... as much as I check my emails!!! Thank you soooo much

  29. I wonder if it is possible for the "Download" link to open in a new window or tab? Then the original window is still there as a reminder to comment.
