  1. I make different things each year. Last year I canned salsa and gave that away. This year I learned how to bake bread, so I'm giving away loaves of bread. I also made wool mittens and will give those to friends.

  3. I try to make at least a few things each Christmas to give out as gifts. This year I am making a mini photo album made from paper bags with my boy's sports pictures in it to give to my mom. I am also making Christmas cards as well as making the gifts my kids will give to their classmates at school at their Christmas parties. It is an exciting and fun time!!!

  4. Thanks for the sweet freebies today. I designed my own Christmas cards this year. Also I made shower gel, soaps and lotions for family and friends for Christmas. A little handmade gift is so special. If I have time I will do some little goodie bags yet but my Mother-in-law is dying and not expected to live past Christmas so we live one day at a time.

  5. We have a tradition in our family where the adult couples exchange gifts, but they must be hand made. We have been doing it for 8 years now, and my brain gets taxed to the max each year, but it is super fun making things for others!

  10. Hi Paulette, I was thinking of making some tealight cards instead of X-mas cards for family and close friends and maybe a kind of candy box for the ones we visit (just hope to have enough time to fix everything).

  11. I did an oil painting for each of my boys for Christmas. We have a cottage on the Northumberland Strait and I did a picture of each son of mine holding their child's hand walking up the beach. I also made two rag quilts for my grandchildren - in the pattern of an I Spy blanket. I make all my own Chrismas cards. Made a couple of qullt bags for girlfriends of mine. I am going crazy trying to get all this finished and wrapped in time for the big day.

  24. Yes, I do. They are my preferred gifts. I love to cross stitch. My family draws names and the question is always, 'Who does Kelley have?' I no longer put tags on my gifts so they have to wait until time to open! :)

  28. Oh yeah, me, my mom and my sister in law and her two daughters all get together to make goodies to give away. We make, spiced nuts, church windows, fudge, oreo truffles, butterscotch peanut butter rice krispy treats, regular rice krispy treats, white and milk chocolate covered pretzels, no bake cookies. We are adding a couple of new items to our goodie menu this year, not sure what, my nieces are getting pick out a recipe apiece. I got lucky this year and won a big thing of Martha Stewart goodie boxes and bags and thats what we are packing up the sweets in.
