Riddle Me This...

You are walking through a field, and you find something to eat. It doesn’t have bones, and it doesn’t have meat. You pick it up and put it into your pocket. You take it home and put it on a shelf, but 3 day’s later it walks away.
What is it?

AN EGG

  11. I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but an egg that you found in a field and carried home to sit on your shelf for 3 days would NOT hatch and walk away. Once the egg was no longer being maintained at the correct temp, the hatchling inside would die. I know. I have poultry and have lost plenty of hatchlings when the mother bird stopped sitting too soon or the egg got moved out of her nest. But more to the point, this is a great image and I thank you very much, Paulette!
